I started MSC with the intent that there were vacant houses out there that needed love and I wanted to help. The more I got into it the more I learned that those homes needed love far before they sat vacant, and more often than not, the people inside of them did too. What I thought I wanted to do was flip houses, what my passion became was affordable home ownership for others. Neighborhoods restored.
I am just one woman with a very small team, mostly family, that have realized we are better together. With the help of the neighborhood we want to make vacant homes beautiful and see renters become homeowners. It has taken a few years of research and prayerful consideration to be able to shape this vision.
We look for vacant homes in need of serious repair and create beautiful, safe places. When these heavily distressed and vacant homes are given new life the whole neighborhood sees a positive change.
In the last few years many 1st time homebuyers were not able to compete with escalation of prices that the market has seen. The more community programs, local banks/CU's, and mortgage providers we can work with that are involved in financial literacy, homeowner education programs or credit repair services, the more we can manage costs and turn renters into homeowners.
Our focus is on the community:
· We want to use local resources to feed back into small businesses
· We want to source local talent for rehab, Electricians, HVAC, Plumbing, Roofing, Carpentry, Painting, Dumpsters, Lawn Care, Drywall, Realtors, Mortgage companies. · Collaborate with other community programs
· Meet the neighbors & share ideas
Feel free to contact us if there is a home on your block in need of serious repair, sitting empty. These homes are the ones we are looking for. We want to tackle the ones no one else wants. We are not trying to compete with a family looking to get into their 1st home, one with minor fixes that you can do with a little elbow grease, a few friends and some pizza. We want the ones that need windows, and roofs, the jungle of a backyard tamed. If you have a home like that, know a home like that, drive by a home like that, we would love to chat!
When I began to see that what I started wasn't at all what I wanted, I took a different path. Along the way, much like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, I began to make friendships and build connections with people who had the same dreams. A heart for God, a heart for people and the desire to make a difference doing something we felt passionate about. They paint, they advocate, they volunteer, and they encourage. These are the things that we compiled to go from just taking an old house and giving it new life to finding purpose. While we are not a non-profit, we are taking the end goal in a different direction. We would rather make a larger neighborhood impact than a larger profit. It’s still a work in progress but as they say you never finish what you don't start.
We all have dreams we want to chase, and often we need the assistance of others to show us it is possible. My desire is to meet people where they are at and bring their smiles back. In the process, I get to be a part of a new community and pour beauty and purpose into an older home for a new family. I want to continue the journey, but not at the cost of the homeowner or the neighborhood. Portions of every renovation will have a community project that will go back into the street in some way. I want to instill a 'Love Thy Neighborhood' mentality. It takes a village, but even a village has to start with one home.
Sam is my partner, middle sister, and friend. She likes to joke that she just "picks things up and puts things down". It is true, she is the muscle behind the operation but has a heart of gold. She is the first one to sign up and the last one to leave. She will walk with you as long as it takes to get you where you are going. Through thick and thin she will push through until a solution is found and somehow makes it fun along the way. She makes a great play list, is our comic relief and plans the best parties.

Life can make difficult situations seem hopeless. I know, I have been there. Our stories are probably more similar than you think. That is why this business is centered around relationships. Sometimes you need people who have been there and made it to the other side to guide you through. I see your situation as hopeful and that together we can move mountains, that alone may feel impossible.
Matthew 17:20
Faith of a Mustard Seed
If you bring us one we have 2 avenues of thought. We want to see homeowners get the most for their home, so it isn't a typical offer that another cash for keys type program may offer.
We partner- I can explain in detail but the short version: Think of it like hiring a contractor that gets paid when the home sells. Life can really change our plans sometimes, but that doesn't mean you should lose the equity that dream came with. My offer is to work with you and propose a plan to sell that home with enough value that the light returns to your eyes. Together we discuss the challenges. I will not make more money on the sale of your home than you will.
There are instances when a homeowner needs to get out of a home quickly or simply doesn't have any desire to go through a renovation. In these cases we can make an offer, close faster than an average sale and cover closing costs and fees and still try to get the best possible outcome for the homeowner.
You may have anyone present you wish to go over any of this, at anytime. Realtors, family, friends. None of this is secret. All of the numbers we review are transparent. We will tell you how and why we arrived at the offer.
Once upon a time dreams were connected to that home, maybe a legacy someone wanted to leave behind. I will be open and honest, if we can't help we will share any resource we have that might. Let us explain ways that could potentially leave you with a profit and not a loss on the home you have lived in and loved.
Every situation is different. We take the time to look at yours specifically in a way that would benefit you.
*We encourage homeowners to use a realtor or lawyer to review our offer. These are experts in their field. A homeowner should feel comfortable with our offer just as if they had put their home on the market.*
Call or email us and let us know your story! Even if the situation might be a tough one for you, there is hope. Our time is free and we will begin to work through the possibilities. If you find them appealing we will come look at the property.
After we have had the opportunity to discuss your desired outcome, see the property, and review the notes, we can start working on the offer.
Usually within 24-48 hours.
Think it over. There is no pressure...ever! We want to work with you but if it isn't the right fit, it is okay! We will still offer any resources we have that may get you to the next step.
